Waiting for Corot

Camille was a great lanscape painter in the 19th century. Despised by the Establishment at the beginning of his career, he soo began major and a precursor for the most famous impressionist painters. I was walking along the canal of Picardie painted by Corot. The lines of poplars along the water make me think immediately of him. I was surrounded by the browns, the silvery greens, the pale blue sky above me. I thought i could see a fragile and furtive shadow, behind a bush, a human shadow collecting skeches and studies of the rustic landscape surrounding me. I particularly appreciate his "Canal of Picardie achieved in 1865.
