The Joy of Feeding Birds
By Glenn Brandenburg

A Red Bellied Woodpecker comes to the feeder every day to enjoy the food and also provides a wonderful opportunity to watch a wild bird close up. He joins other birds and squirrels who compete for food both during the winter and sumer time. To gather food to help them to keep living as well as to feed their young. It truly is a Blessing to Feed the Birds. I go to the local feed store and buy a 50 pound sack of black oil sunflower seeds and a 50 pound sack of scratch grain and mix 3 coffee cans of scratch grain to one can of sunflower and stir it up and this is what I feed the Birds and of course the squirrels which number around 13 and also one peacock who drops by sometimes.
