Today I took a walk...

Before I even left the porch I was told to go put on a sweater by Mr. Scarecrow. It was over 70 degrees outside but I did as he said. He was right too. I would have been just a bit chilled if I had not followed his advice.
I paused at the corner just after the first little uphill stretch from the house. As I looked out over the pasture I noticed in the distance where there is new construction going on. More commercial industry I believe.
A little further up the road I saw the wood shed. A thought came to mind about being taken to the woodshed. Where would one find the switch you were told to get while on the way?
Some people have an odd sense of what decorative is. I have noticed that people here in Tennessee like their lawn ornamentation and flower beds. I do not understand this one though. The dried wood or what ever it is in the midst of the circle of stones looks like a pile of poo to me. A friend told me it looked like a dead dog to her. And of course what yard would not be complete without a "VOTE FOR" sign posted front and center.
Now, for some odd reason I enjoy taking pictures of trees in all various stages of life and death. I think it is because there is so much texture in raw wood. Then I spotted something at the base of this particular late tree.
Yes, they look like crocus pushing up through the ground. Now, is that what you would call "Spring profusion" or "Spring confusion"? I will have to check back in a couple days to see how they fare.
As I have said, never have I seen people who like to decorate their yards the way people here in Tennessee do. I mean, lets just drop this little tiny shrub and this white rabbit smack dab in the middle of this stone surround.
Now I will admit that I don't find these deer as offensively tacky as I do the white wire and plastic deer strung with lights.
And here is another example of a teeny tiny tree in the middle of an enclosure of rocks... and lets not mention that it is a tiered formation of rocks.
I really set out to see if the horse's and goat were out but they weren't so all I got to see is a bare tree in the middle of their field. Then I spotted this lonely little item. Forgotten in some child's excitement I presume to see the horses and goat.
Having reached the end (or is it the beginning) of Turman Road I turned around and looked back the way I had come. Then I noticed another one of these sexually explicit trees. I have another that I have entered in a couple photography contests that I titled "Lovers" so this one I think I will call "Let me wrap myself around you".
There were a couple of the neighborhood guardians out and about as I passed and they let me know quite vocally that they were watching me. "Good doggies" I said in praise as I passed them, for doing such a good job. As I do not know them and they certainly do not know me I did not venture to get any closer than the edge of their canine domains.
When I made my way back up onto my porch Mr. Scarecrow asked if I had enjoyed my walk. "Why yes, yes I did sir. Maybe next time you can come with me."
