My Sister's Lomographic Wedding

Perfect ...

My sister got married last Sunday and aside from having to entertain the guests I had to act as a runner for my wife who was coordinating the whole event. Weddings here in the Philippines is a bit different specially for a Chinese -Christian family. Chinese weddings here are usually grand events with many guests. For non-Christians, the traditional Chinese wedding is usually very elaborate with strict adherence in the observation of traditional Chinese rituals. Our family is a Christian family that is why we didn't follow all the rituals and traditions except for the giving of a symbolic dowry and the Chinese tea ceremony. It was for all intents and purposes a traditionial and conservative Christian wedding in our church followed by a sumptuous banquet. Since there were so many people taking digital snaps, I wanted to do something different. I didn't have a chance to shoot much but the few times I did I used my LC-A and a fresh roll of Agfa Precisia slide film and had it cross processed. I was the only guy shooting film, with a lo-fi Lomo camera nonetheless. I wanted to to capture what I can from a lomographic perspective. It was cool, fun and scary at the same time. The poor light, the difficulty in focusing and not knowing how the photos will turn out added to the experience. A true lomographic look at my sister's wedding =)
