the mundane

i travel a lot for work. i travel a lot for fun. lately its been mostly for work. after being gone for the week and coming home for the weekend, i start realizing that the things i come home to, the things that make my place my home, are things no one else will see. the front door (in the back), the mailbox (that never has my mail), the waterhose (that never washes my car), an old broken down van (that sits in my driveway) and the flowers, the flowers that burn like candles with their colours. the things that no one else sees are the most mundane of my everyday life. but if you take the time to look around, you can see the things everyone wants to see. so take a look around, and show me what you see. show me where you are at. show me that there is beauty wherever you are, for it is always there if you know where to look.
the everyday to you is the different to someone else.
