Analyzing the Black and White

Through the bold yet simplicity of contrasted lines and curves that create a wonder of abstract visions I have decided to do a black and white study of composition using only my body. The human body has endless shapes standing out in a unique character of their own makeup. These photos silhouette a sound contrast of positive and negative figures.
I'm not your typical New York billboard model by any means but that doesn't mean that there isn't beauty in those who don't fit the 5'9" 110 lbs profile. As a photographer I discovered what was physically beautiful about me.
The project that I challenged myself to do was to create a series of photos of simple lines and shapes only using myself as the subject of photography. I have taken self-portraits in the past but they usually involve hiding behind a cheaply homemade costume purchased at your local Goodwill or Salvation Army. This time was different, no costume, no props just me finding different angles and shapes through my body.
One of the challenges I did face with this project was that some of the positions I angled myself in were not easy to photograph since I don't care to use the self-timer nor do I have a remote to hold down the shutter. This did limit areas of my body I was unable to capture. Perhaps I need to invest in a remote with further trials in mind.
