"A Story of Man against Nature".

A friend of mine told me the other day that I should try to explain a little more what I was trying to do with my photography. I wasn't sure about that, for I generally prefer people to find out freely for themselves whether they are attracted by an image and if they are willing to dig deeper into it, but here I am, so please bear with me.

Here is a sample of Industry, a series about the artificial and the natural I started out a few months ago.

Industry is a testimony of man's activity as well as a photo essay on color, shape and texture. It is about how we respond both intellectually and emotionally to those elements that surround us, how the artificial creates or simply imitates the natural, how they blend in our everyday life, how the artificial has sometimes ended up with replacing the natural and confuses us. Since the beginning of modern times, the industry of man has designed artificial matter, form and color that have seduced us until we became aware that we were destroying the environment. Now that we have lost our illusions, only remains the fascination for objects in what they symbolise, in their design, texture, shape, color.
