black and blue

Perhaps it's the metaphoric nature of it or the contrasting qualities of color. To me it seems that black is the perfect compliment to blue, it a frame like no other. Maybe it's the old recording of Louis Armstrong, black and blue, that has created my obsession in this visual as poetic expression. In any case, I may be self deluded in my opinion and if so ignorance is my bliss. If there is another color frame for the blues, perhaps in time I will come to see it. For now, I cannot get enough of black and blue. It's been said; "you can't sing the blues until you've lived them."... And boy am I living them
