Tragic Day Filled With Laughter
By Pamela Hubbard

Such a tragedy. Our beloved Suzanne was attacked by a wild animal roaming the streets of Boulder. A seemingly friendly tiger suddenly turned on my dear friend and began chewing off her fingers one digit at a time. I was lucky to have my camera and I started shooting pictures hoping that someone would call for help. Suzanne saw me with my camera and began smiling, almost laughing! She obviously did not realize that this vicious creature of the wild had bit off her thumb! Her texting days are over. Without that left thumb she will only be able to send out half a message! So sad, for this to happen to a true animal lover.
Suzanne and I had a blast that day. We walked the streets of Boulder with our cameras in hand searching out photo opportunities. Pearl Street Mall is filled with beautiful architecture ranging from the ornate and historical to contemporary and colorful. There are street performers and street people. Great food and great shopping. If I could afford it I would live there, but for now I will click and capture what I can and call it mine.
I look forward to my next trip with my good friend. I am sure we will find something to make us laugh and something that we can click and capture as a memory of good times with a good friend.
