Three years coming...

I was on my way to take some promotional shots for a band tonight when I got a call that they weren't going to be able to make it. I drove an hour out of the way for no reason, and what's worse is that I had a lot of homework waiting for me at home!
As I was driving home (in my somber attitude) I remembered a house that I have been wanting to take pictures of for literally a few years now. It is on private property and it is next to a somewhat busy road, and it's almost always occupied. I decided to make it my personal mission tonight to finally get that photo that I've been craving.
I parked the car two blocks away on the other side of the road and I walked towards the house. I treaded through a forest through some trees and some spiderwebs broke violently on my face. I was disgusted (because I HATE spiders) but I continued.
I took some test shots while hiding behind a tree (to test exposure settings, ect.) and I finally found an exposure that worked.
I went for it!
I ran to the front lawn, which was COMPLETELY wide open and it provided no cover. I quickly pushed the shutter down and ran back to the tree while my camera continued its exposure while resting on my tripod. I ran back to the camera after thirty seconds and then moved to a different spot, which I didn't like as much as the first spot. I ran back to the car and I felt so good that I finally got a shot of something that has been nagging at me for years!
This just goes to show that if you want something enough, you will achieve it. That is something great to go by in life-and something that can provide infinite inspiration if never forgotten...
