Disappearing History

The history of Tewksbury, Massachusetts is disappearing. What was once a small New England farm town is slowly becoming a cookie-cutter suburban town of housing developments and strip malls. The old buildings are being renovated and the open fields are becoming streets and parking lots. I believe that the true sense of Tewksbury is in its history and its origins, and that it should be preserved. The photos in this portfolio represent my view of my hometown, and how I would like it to stay. I am fascinated by old things and growing up watching them disappear, without ever being able to explore them, was frustrating. This portfolio is my attempt to connect with what is left of the history of my town and study it more deeply. It is my hope that this portfolio will create new supporters of open space.

The captures are very nice, but too distant and cold I think. Only my opinion :)
