Fleurs. The simplicity of the beauty

In the spot

I was been asked by an interior designer to propose a project to furnish the clear walls of some small apartments with the subject of flowers.

Needless to say that I'd have liked to do something like the Maestro Mapplethorpe, but I can't compare with his talent and fame and mostly I didn't have a studio and light and assistents to produce something like he did. Another inspiration was given me by Baudelaire very famous or infamous book " Les fleurs du mal", but I wanted to review his title in " Les fleurs du bonheur". It hasn't been so easy to catch the essence of the flower, of their delicacy, light, tenderness and mostly of their souls. I approched to these simple flowers with humility and respect and tried to get the best from each one of them. I used natural lights, backlight from a window, an old curtain, a black silk coat and as my assistent a chair. That's all. I tried to be in empathy with them, the essence and parfume of each single flower inspired me and gave me the joy to freeze them in pictures which will last forever.

Don't try to exaggerate when shooting or filming the beauty of the life, just take it as it is, don't try to enhance what is already beautiful just be humble and follow the emotions sugegsted by them.
