Wild Ganja in Nepal

Wild Ganja Beside the Annapurna Trail in Nepal

The Annapurna Circuit is a 20 day trek through the Himalayas, climbing up to a peak of just over 17,700 feet. The trail leads through approximately four different climates, from tropical, to semi-tropical, and then permafrost in the high altitudes to desert.

After the first day on the trail, there are no longer any roads, there is no electricity or running water. All supplies are carried in by either Mule or by human porters. It feels so remote and idyllically natural, it makes one imagine this must be the way the world was before humans.

At the semi-tropical level, Marijuana grows naturally wild almost everywhere. Hardly anyone cares, or even notices. In fact, unless you look for it, it would go unnoticed amongst all the other weeds. It is nice to know that there are some places on this earth where we have not unjustly outlawed a plant that mother nature put here.
