Eastern Oregon 2: Interiors

Many buildings in Eastern Oregon are said to be haunted. Towns in this part of the state are old, and life was harsh for the pioneers brave enough to try to build a new life there. Gold, too, brought prospectors who were more likely to meet ill fate than good.
The past is alive in these buildings, and the line between past and present isn't quite so clear. I had the sense that the spirits of those who had once lived within these walls were still there, their stories suspended in the atmosphere. Getting drawn into what went before was seductive, and I couldn't help but wonder how wrong we may be to define time by years rather than by perception.
