My Geometry and On Stage Submissions

Stairway to Heaven
everyone has to eat

I thought that I'd take a minute to point out a couple of my submissions for Issue 18 and to give a little back story on them.

First up, we've got my submission for Geometry, which is a photo I took in 2006 of the IDS Tower in Minneapolis, MN USA. This is a photo which I've always loved personally because of the way the tower is isolated against the sky. As a result, you can get lost in all of the lines and angles of the building, which combined with the unusual perspective, creates quite the optical illusion. I really love just staring at this one.

Second we have my my submission for On Stage. This picture was originally submitted to the Tools of the Trade theme and was featured as an "Outtakes" selection. Taken during the Minnesota State Fair in 2007, I think that it captures the particularly weird ethos that is associated with the Midway. This duo was part of the self-proclaimed "Last Freak Show Touring America" and would repeat this feat on stage every 20 minutes, all day, for the entire two week run of the fair.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my submissions and I hope that they can earn a "Yes" from you!

Good luck to all of your submissions as well!

Cheers,

Josh
