Feature Story

A small little kitten

Okay, this story started out with my friend, Kayla, my mother, and I at a beach in Florida. We were going around and I was taking Kayla's picture. Then, as you can see, when I took the main picture she was shocked. We saw the cutest little kitten. The kitten was surrounded by a group of small children. I wanted to go over and take the cute little thing's picture but the kids wouldn't leave it alone. After awhile, we gave up and went on the swing which was right next to the kitten. Kayla and my mother started to swing. My mother, bless her heart, gave up her swing for me and sat on this little slide used by small children. The bratty little kids then came up by her and said "you need to move we wanna sit there." My mother was thinking "who do you think you are?" The other little girl who was a bit older said that there was one open next to her, so she just went to the other slide.

Then things got horrifying. The smallest girl held the kitten in her hand in basically a death grip. We were all like "she's going to kill the cat!" Basically this little girl almost sent this small defenseless cat down a slide by itself. The cat would have died or become hurt, so thank god my mom talked the girl out of doing it. Then my mom went to the car to put something away. At this point, Kayla wanted to get the cat away from these hell children. She went over to the girls and said "that's my cat." The small one was being a bitch and said "no. it's not. It's mine," and just being the worst child ever. Kayla, bless her soul, fought for that cats life. You know kids: they won't listen to anyone. So she gave up and we all walked away in disgust.
