What city do you live in? What neighborhood?

I live in Kiryu, a small town in Gunma prefecture in Japan.

What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?

quite, small, remote, peaceful.

How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?

I lived there for four years now. Pursuing my doctoral studies brought me in this middle of no where..

What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?

My favorite thing about Kiryu is...its people!
My least favorite thing is the means of transportation. Not well served.

Do you feel that you belong there?

Not really. But I like it.

What is the most common misconception about where you live?

In Japanese Kiryu and Kill you sound the same.
So when one says I'm going to Kiryu it sounds rather scary :)

What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?

I didn't know that Kiryu was the SILK city of Japan!

What aspect of your city do you secretly love?

I love its streets by night.
