The valley of Chota, Ecuador

Almost 9 years ago, I was traveling through the highlands of my home country Ecuador. Which by the way is extremely diverse. And I wind up in the Chota valley. A very humble place, with a very small population, Less than 1200 people, probably. And although they where not living on the best conditions, they where very happy and outgoing, their unique music, and their love for soccer, makes this little valley very special in my heart.
The first picture is called no recess, because the primary school was flooded and a kid was telling me how much he misses going to school. The other 3 are a few of the pictures of the youth in Chota, I was probably 14 years old myself, at the time. A bunch of photography lovers got together and we venture to Chota. I have some other negatives of this trip I need to scan. Some of them overexposed, but all the pictures where taken with my old Canon AE-1 35mm film.
