Stuck In Lemoore

i used to have a friend but he dont move no more

All right, so I started working for this new company and it requires me to travel a little more than my old company. Here I am stuck in this little town called Lemoore. Its a small farm town outside of Visalia.

I'm making sales calls with a friend when we turn the corner and I see all of these houses up on blocks and strewn amongst them are an assortment of old trucks and cars. Oh! I said to my friend. I have to come back to this spot. How do I get back here. He says,"Its right up the street from where you are staying we just got to it from a different way. Take Houston street to 10th street and make a left and you will find it.

After my friend dropped me off back at my hotel that evening I hurried back to the loaction. With the sun begining to go down and the clouds starting to thicken up the place began to look even more errie.

No one was home and if they were they didnt want you to know they were. I drove around back through some fields to get in. Wow! Better than I first thought.

I set up and had to work fairly quickly because the sun was fast fading below the horizon. The place had the feeling of Bodie Ca.. Every thing was left just as it was a long time ago. Like a time capsule slowly in decay. My kind of place.

I'm sure glad I went back. It was a great way to cap off a day. I have been back since and either the weather wasnt right or it just didnt have the same appeal, but I will always keep it in the back of my mind as some place I would like to shoot again.

VERY neat technique, Patrick... and, looking at those skies, you were certainly there at the precisely correct moment! These shots have such great appeal-- I love the saturation AND your Grunge technique--- PERFECT!!!
