Adventures of a Wayward Family

This trip was a very humbling experience for me. It showed me, not only, how big the world actually is, but how so many people live with so much less and can find joy in the small things. There is so much more to life than you ever could imagine.

Being on the boat, uncomfortable and hot, I began to appreciate how blessed my life actually was. It left me in awe because even though there is so much hate, and pain in the world there is still a place where there is beauty both in people and in the landscape, water and amazing creatures.

It was the trip of a life time, one that few get to experience, and being out in the middle of the ocean, no land in sight is something that cannot be put into words. It scares the shit out of you. And at the same time fills you with this reverence and ironically safe feeling that even though you are ridiculously small, you are a part of something bigger than yourself.
