I live in the town of Spring Grove Illinois. We are 10 minutes from Richmond, Il, 15 minutes from McHenry illinois. 10 minutes from Antioch, illinois, and could spit over the Wisconsin border where were at. We just got a jewel food store a year ago that was our excitement . The state park is here, and you can camd or Fish there.

What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?

Sparse, Quiet, Country, Scenic. Far,

How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?

I have lived here about 15 years now. My mom, and Dad decided to move here when i was in junior high. So they bought the property, and built the house where there at.

What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?

The peacefull nights they can be beautifull, especially on a clear winter night where the stars seem to go on forever. I also love driving at night, and seeing the Baseball fields lit up, its like a scene directly out of Field of dreams.
I think my least favorite things are that this town has Very little to do, Besides Fish Camp, or boat. The scariest part to is when the coyotes are out at night, and they begin to howl, what an eerie feeling.

Do you feel that you belong there?

I really do not think i belong here The countryside is gorgeous, but i would rather be In the suburbs. Where restauaunts are close, and so are many of the stores.

What is the most common misconception about where you live?

That we are all country bumpkins, who sit on our front porches with a shotgun, chewing, and spitting tobacco.

What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?

We had 2 sisters on american idol. Our town was also featured on american Idol. The author Jim May Resides inRichmond the next town over. We have Chain-O-Lakes State Park. Oh and the statue in the photo just recently lost its arm.

What aspect of your city do you secretly love?

That we have a State park, and some of the scenery makes for excellent photography.

Anything else you'd like to add?

Its not a bad town to live it does feel like you are on vacation all the time!!!...
