Where the Light Falls

Portraits and lighting are always an issue. Natural lightiing or artificial is a personal preference and always an experiment. This is my experiment in the sun light. Prompted by my daughter when she wanted some shots of herself I decided to use an abstract painting I have as a backdrop and the sun as my light source, paying attention to body, bone and muscle structure to provide shadowing. This is my result.
