Lines in the sky

one of my favorite subjects to "shoot" is architecture. Architecture as an art form, architecture as the means to design safety and security for people. Architecture, design buildings to provide housing, spaces to work and play and keep dry, warm, cool and what else we need to feel at ease, safe and relaxed.
I especially like the lines buildings form with other buildings, and with the skyline. Every building is unique (mostly) but still shares many elements with other buildings. Windows, doors, lines, ornaments, all what makes a building stand out or blend in.
The convergence of lines is usually what captures my eye. The symmetry or the a-symmetry, how the building pierces the sky or blends into another. It never bores me, where ever I go I am stunned by the vast differences between buildings within a city, a country or continents. But I still prefer the mix between contemporary and classic architecture.
Architects from the past like Frank Lloyd wright and William Van Alen and the more recent wonders of architecture such as A. Eugene Kohn, William E. Pedersen who designed the The Hague, Hoftower and Richard Meier who designed the The Hague City Hall, nicknamed the Ice palace.
Hope you enjoy my interpretation of architecture and the lines I share with you.
