During the Cold War certainly the Berlin Wall was an universal symbol to express the division and isolation between people and nations that the world suffered during 20th Century. The Berlin Wall was also a kind of urban canvas for the Berliners who decided to show their feelings and their thoughts or leave their messages to the other part of the world through coloured paintings and words written in that grey stone wall.
Currently we can admire those works in several museums and in the wall pieces that alredy exists and are placed in the streets to recall what happened not so long ago. But that pieces are now painted by tourists and travellers who leave their messages on the stone, so that the Wall can continue being a vehicle for the communication between people who doesn´t know one another.
Berlin is a great town with other little towns inside, with its dozens of sensations, extremely different kinds of people and thousands of possible choices.
The Berlin walls continues expressing what the Berliners think and feel about the world, relating the visitor that Berlin is a city still in construction and remembering that the architects of this huge project are its citizens.
