Pope Benedict XVI Visits Lourdes
By Pascal Fellonneau
14 Sep 2008
Lourdes is a small town in the French Pyrenees where in 1858 a young girl called Bernadette Soubirous supponsingly saw and heard Virgin Mary several times in a cave. A short while after Lourdes became a major place of catholic pilgrimage. Pope Benedict XVI (aka the german shepherd) was there to celebrate the 150th anniversary of these visions on the 13th of September 2008.
