Long Branch, NJ 2 blocks from the beach by 7 Presidents Park
What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?
Artistic, diverse, friendly
How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?
17 years this time.
I came back to Long Branch to raise my kids, to live quietly in the winter and enjoy and loud and incredible summer.
THe environment for kids is excellent with open air concerts, and cultural differences being embraced and celebrated aroudn town, it was a no brainer for me to raise kids with an appreciation for all.
What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?
A local NY Train
Rude people who have moved here for hte friendliness and then bring their rotten attitudes with them and their kids to boot, who think they can be rude and disrespectful because they have more credit then others. not moeny, just credit and we all know where that is going, these kids are in a for a rude awakening of their own, FINALLY!
Do you feel that you belong there?
yes, my family has been in this area since 1742. and i have many photos to prove it.
What is the most common misconception about where you live?
That we can only survive with the money the bennies bring.
What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?
That the majority of homes those carpet baggers took should have been left alone and we should have voted those bums out of office? or the fact that we keep building in spite of nearly 80% vacant?
What aspect of your city do you secretly love?

Long Branch use to be about Families and neighbors, these people moving in forgot why they wanted to live here, that is why so please either leave those rude attitudes stay where you came from or go back and let us have our nighborhoods back.
We welcome all who come to be a part of the community not change it to suit their egos!
