What city do you live in? What neighborhood?
I live in Bloomfield, NJ.
What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?
Bloomfield has a small town feel to it simply because that's what it is. It is scenic with many parks and areas to play, hip with dives called Piano's. People have lived there throughout their lives and that seems to be okay by them, never wanting to stray from their roots.
How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?
I have lived in Bloomfield for 3 months and moved here because it is a small town reminding me of my hometown back in Kansas.
What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?
My favorite thing about Bloomfield is the array of people you will find. People rushing off to work in the city and others taking leisurely strolls to their ultimate destinations.
My least favorite thing is the geese poop in the park!
Do you feel that you belong there?
I feel that I belong here, although sometimes I feel cut off from people my own age. I like the solitude but sometimes that can be a bad thing.
What is the most common misconception about where you live?
The misconception is that it is far from NYC and that it is in NJ and as a result is very gritty.
What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?
An interesting fact is that the final episode of the Soprano's was filmed at Holsten's Brookdale Confectionery
What aspect of your city do you secretly love?
I secretly love that every street in town looks as if it's a Main Street!
