Nor'easter
By Misha Marston Johnson

In an almost dream-like softness the season's first Nor'easter arrived, burying the Fall and calling upon Winter.
I went out early on this shortest day, snow towering down, the wind causing cascades of snow to fall from the trees. It was a winter wonderland. Everything was muffled my the thick coat of snow, the only sounds were the creak of trees in the wind and woodpeckers hammering for food.
I was almost the only one out there blazing trails on and off the trail. When I was entering the forest a man and his dog came up beside me (the man on skis in the first photo here). His remark was, "Thought I was going to be the only one out here." My reply, "Oh, not today. This is amazing. I couldn't not come out here." And off he went, quickly getting lost in the snow-filled ether.
If you didn't get to experience this storm, I hope these pictures can take you there.

They are all great shots, though glad I am viewing from photos. Keep up the good work.
