Current: Breaking Stereotypes
Sponsored by Current TV
We live in a world rife with stereotypes. Whatever your age, gender, or ethnicity -- people can and will make assumptions based on a set of preconceived notions. Are stereotypes based on real facts or trends, or are they just an overly simplified and superficial means of classification? Current TV wants to see your view of stereotypes, including portraits of atypical people, shots of people who fit certain stereotypes to the point of being clichés, or any other visual interpretation or commentary on the habit we have of judging a book by its cover. Those selected will be included in Current TV's new weekly VC2 show!
Since its inception in 2005, Emmy award-winning Current TV has been the world's leading peer-to-peer news and information network. Current is the only 24/7 cable and satellite television network and Internet site produced and programmed in collaboration with its audience. To that end, Current pioneered the television industry's leading model of interactive viewer created content (VC2). Current connects young adults with what is going on in their world, from their perspective, in their own voices.
