I usually see very objective photos of people in the "developing" world, and by that I mean that they are usually presented in a very crude light that usually ends up screaming "poor indigenous locals." I have no doubt been guilty of this when I first started traveling and taking photographs. With my, I guess I will call them 'street portraits' I want to get very close and show something beautiful, something personal about the person that goes beyond their life situation and touches the universal humanity we all share. I wanted to communicate "beautiful person" before anything else.
