These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world...St John:16: 33
---------------------------------
A Black-capped Chickadee
Sings in the tree
With jubilation.
Its joyful song
Brings good cheer;
Tho' winter is not gone
Nor is tribulation,
Spring will soon be here...
Poetry by me AJP
-------------------------------------
It was a beautiful day today and this little guy let me take a picture of him outside, without fear....They are one of my favorite birds as they can be tamed by eating sunflower seeds in your hand. Today he was flitting from branch to branch showing off for all he was worth and then he let loose with his song for me and it was so sweet...I really love these little birds of nature which brings a bright spot to winter and they have such a happy disposition.
Although this picture looks like it may have been shot from a distance the chickadee was not far above my head. This is where a 300 mm lens would have come in handy.

What a delightful capture! Interesting that they will eat from your hand; I bet it takes a great deal of patience on your part though.
