Two days! Wow! Great stuff!!! I wonder if you try to understand the space that you walk and then you take pictures or if you follow the photographic impulse and allow yourself to go...

Yes, interesting time frame, and a good question from Llorenc. I'll come back for the answer. Great stuff from Chicago.

thanks for all the kind words (besonders an die deutschsprechenden leute!) :-)

llorenç, i mostly let the photographic impulse take me where it wanted to on this trip. occasionally i tried to think a little about the space first, but whenever i did that i seemed to attract security guards or law enforcement, who put a stop to my terroristic activities.

for example, in one of the public parking areas at o'hare, i had returned to my sister's car to get my 50 mm lens for this:

almost immediately after getting that shot a security guard appeared --

security guard: what are you taking pictures of?

me: the topography here in the parking area, you know, the man-altered landscape.

security guard: you can't do that.

You can't do that... hahahaha... my God! The fact is that since you take pictures the world doesn't live calm. Wow!
