My little older dog is recovering from an operation to save her leg..I have taken many shots of her during this time but this one to me summed up how I imagine she is feeling wondering if she will ever walk again on 4 legs..It breaks my heart to see her lying quietly almost in acceptance clutching her blanket.....only time will heal.

Comfort may well be a new theme for me to work upon..

Oh...You've caught her beautiful sweet spirit. This reminds me of that time in later life, when the outside world becomes less important a thing; when we live in the unfettered and dear place of our tender memories...a quiet peace to acknowledge all that we are and have been...and I believe in those gentle moments there is a soft current moving us lovingly...window to window...of what matters.

Michele, as I look at this image, I hear my own four-legged in the background, chomping on a deer antler. I wish you and your dog a full recovery. Or at least, full adaptability.
