The pile is fire and much wood....Isaiah 30:31
Debrah Leonard wrote to me and said she liked my avatar and wondered if I
had it in my gallery...I shot this self portrait November 18th, 2010, but I turned it
around in my avatar so that it is facing the opposite direction...We are making a lot of good use from our wood piles as winter came early this year.

It is a nice avatar. I liked the previous avatar, as well. I like this photo. It speaks of the cold weather to come. How much wood will you burn during the "cold" season?

Thank you Richard...We burn several cords of wood during the cold season...
Our old farmhouse is drafty and I think the warmest room is in the kitchen
where we have our wood stove:)

Thanks, Andrea. I don't know who lives in the colder environment: You or Patty (Maine woods).

I love this shot! You look so pensive.

Richard, I don't know either who lives in the colder environment..I think Patty
who lives in Maine and I have both accepted the cold weather as part of our
daily existence..Patty takes beautiful images of her daily walk in the woods. Donald, perhaps the reason why I looked so pensive is that truth of the matter
it was freezing weather that day and I was waiting for the self timer to go off so I could run to the house to get warm.

A beautiful photo, Andrea! We used to use a wood stove, but changed to gas heat when wood became so expensive.....maybe we shouldn't have been using African Blackwood!!
