On a cross-country trip to shoot a friend's band in Seattle, I took a detour to Bryce Canyon, Utah, a place I had heard about, but never seen. I was pressed for time, so my short, sunset hike along the hoodoos didn't net the prized images I anticipated.
Part of the problem is that I have a wandering eye, and I kept stopping to shoot the scenery. In this case however, I had stopped to relieve myself on a tiny highway in the middle of nowhere. I climbed some barbed wire, and found a covey of creosote bushes to hide myself from the sparse traffic. Behind me, a shallow brown river attracted my attention, and on it's grassy bank rested this 1930's era automobile, rusting into the red Utah soil.

    Great lighting and color.
