According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed...but that with all boldness as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death...Philippians 1:20

The Rose breasted Grosbeaks
Have hopes and expectation
To reach their destination.
They must be bold
Until the day they die....
May they remain strong...
Wherever they fly...
Whether their journey
Be short or long...
Poetry by me AJP

The Grosbeaks are migratory birds and it is always nice to see them in the spring. Again I shot a macro of just the upper portion of the female as I did also of the male Grosbeak in my previous picture...She was glancing over her shoulder on this shot just before she flew away from the feeder.

Terrific macro, Andrea. I think she's just as pretty as the male even though she is much less colorful.

Thank you all for the comments...I agree Susan that the female Grosbeaks are not as colorful as the male...but that seems to the be way it is for many of the bird species..The female Grosbeaks redeeming feature are their eyes which are big and luminous.
