I get it, Bob. A complex, subtle, visually rich scene, very nicely done. Your quick eye has captured the link between the real lady in red with the pose of the fountain statue, a la Cartier-Bresson. The lady's bright red dress couldn't have been scripted any better to draw the eye right to her. Then, there's a circle/roundness sub-theme in the repeated fountain balls and the opening of the distant garden gate. The bright globe of the ornate lamp forms the apex of a nice triangle, then there's another one from the two ladies and the garden gate opening. This one may be the strongest due to the brilliant yellow crown (my wife says that's forscithia ??) The bright red and the yellow are powerful anchors and add to the liveliness of scene. Heck, talking about his is almost as much fun as being there.

Thanks for the wonderful commentary and alalysis. You see things I missed myself. The Red Hat laddies were having a convention there that day and the gardens had splashes of red and purple dynamically moving all over the place like migrating birds. Serindipity! I made good use of those vibrantly attired ladies all afternoon.

I love botanical gardens and this one looks so interesting! Where is it located? Merlin Peck gave such a great analogy of your photo, I looked at each part of the photo that he described and enjoyed seeing it from his description.

Love the comp and how the eye darts back and forth between the sculpture and the woman in the red dress.
