They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures...For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. Psalms 36:8-9

Wolf River apples
Before they are ripe
Open their mouths~
Not to gripe
But to drink
The rains
Before it sinks
Their house...
Poetry by me AJP

We have been getting lots of rain here for days and the weather has turned cold enough to wear jackets. But when it stopped for a little while I went out to shoot some pictures...I didn't notice until later how the stems on top of these tiny unripe apples looked so much like upturned mouths.. When you take pictures with macro it brings out these features full force. I thought they looked like happy little apples enjoying the fruits of their labor. LOL

There is so much tiny detail in this image that you would not see if you were just looking at the real thing. A great macro Andrea. We are finally getting some much needed rain and our temp dropped just a tiny bit.

In the thumbnail, these looked like plump birds reveling in their own "fatness." Yes, your macro lens has produced a unique image!

Fabulous macro, Andrea! I definitely enjoy seeing so much more detail, things you'd never see with the naked eye. 'Happy apples' reminded me of a toy the kids had when they were toddlers!

This is a beautiful macro shot of the apples. The detail is great!!! Not much rain for us here. The drought is still on and there are wildfires in counties north of us. We got a bit of rain last week that measured about 2 1/2" total. It was appreciated as it helped to cool us a bit and the grass and weeds have perked up a lot : )
