It was 6 degrees F. as the sun began to peek into the Grand Canyon on the early morn of Nov. 8, 2011. A blanket of pristine snow lay on the ground, and seemed to enhance the deep reddish colors of the Canyon. It was a truly inspiring and spiritual experience.

Snow is always a good reflector and this is beautiful! I am surprised it would get that cold at the Grand Canyon and I hope you all brought warm clothing.

What a beautiful scene. At 7,300 feet, I was not surprised that it was so cold, but the early morning rays brought a welcome warming effect.

What a beautiful sight! I don't want to get too close to the edge! Incredible how the snow line is near perfect across the canyon.
