Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth...
St. Matthew 5: 38

Who shall eat with me
Had better agree
Whenever we dine
E'en at night,
Jelly is ALL MINE
Else I will bite!!!
Poetry by me, AJP

I shot this at 6:53 PM last night through the window...I don't know what kind of material it is made of but this old red glass dish has dropped many times on the ground and has not broken yet.. I replaced an orange colored plastic dish that got chewed up by raccoons, when I forgot to bring it in one night.

I have given the baby red squirrel who is so protective of his Grape jelly, the name of "Sweet Tooth." Notice the expression of his partner who looks less than thrilled that he's stuck with just Sunflower Seeds ... However Sweet Tooth might grow up to have rotten teeth...Well, at least he won't be able to bite..LOL He does eat sunflower seeds also, but like a child he prefers sweets. The original plan was to feed jelly to the Oriole's and to some other birds that don't eat Sunflower seeds but the squirrels and chipmunks come along with the package...It keeps us busy.

Hahaha - love the poem for this wonderful capture. I hope that I can attract birds and even squirrels to my bowls of food that I set out. I did have a female Cardinal come by for the black sunflower seeds, so that is a start : )
