There is a path which no bird knoweth....and which the vulture's eye hath not seen...Job 28: 7

Finches travel together
Over hill and crest...
These birds of same feather...
Have withstood the test.
There lies a path ahead
Where they have not flown
A place so widespread...
Above land and sea....
It is still unknown...
But for those who see
It will be shown....

Thank you all for the comments and faves...James, you are right it is the male who is purple. Often times the males are more colorful in the bird population, but not always. I think they are all beautiful in their own way....

Perfect lighting and focus.. I love the beautiful detail you`ve caught here, it really makes this an exceptional shot. It`s delightful to view birds looking so relaxed as they enjoy their seeds.
