Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16: 3

This is my second attempt for the theme of Black and White and I practiced on myself today in my little private corner nook upstairs...It may sound silly but I could not do a self portrait in front of anyone not even my husband..(Probably because I am basically shy.)

Thank you all ..No matter how many times I did self portraits for the daily diary series I can still see things that I could have improved on:)...I chose to sit next to the wallpaper today so that I could manually pre-focus on something tangible such as the floral pattern before I sat down, not realizing that there would be a coordination of outfit and wallpaper...I wondered later if maybe I should have worn a plain outfit with no pattern to not conflict with the floral wallpaper:) However, the advantage of black and white is that these patterns don't clash as much had it been in color.

I think that you did an excellent job with the self portrait. I like how your shadow shows behind you and the wallpaper works well, the pattern in it resembles the pattern in your jacket.

I think it would be very difficult to do a sp in front of anyone, very distracting. With the patterns and textures.. and your pose, you have made this not only a beautiful, but an interesting sp!! A really lovely portrait and entry!

What I like best about this photo is that it does NOT look like a self portrait. It looks so professional and i love all the different patterns ,and of course your pose!
