    My guess is, the light is what called your name in this image. Correct me if I'm wrong. If that is the case, you are pulled (as I was/am) to certain elements of the image over the image as a whole. There is a lot going on here. Without the trees it would be a lot to process visually. I think when we look at images we attempt to 'order' each in a way that it tells a story. If it can't be ordered, the story is lost.

    I agree with Bailey, its too busy to figure out what it is at first glance, ahah its a construction scaffold staircase.
    I don't think its disliked just people can't be bothered to stop and look sometimes.
