These antique glass buttons come from my Great Grandmother's beautiful clothes. They were passed down to my Grandmother Laveda, she was a fabulous seamstress and dress maker, fashioning beautiful coats and prom dress's for her two girls. My Mother perfected the art, sewing dress's for my sister and I that were the envy of all our friends. I learned to appreciate fine work and beautiful fabric at a young age, and I'm a creative seamstress myself.

Wow... I didn't think anyone sewed anymore. My husband and I didn't have a pot to pee in for several years but, like you, the kids were always stylishly dressed. Many, many 4 am nights to make this happen. I love this shot. It has your history embedded... filled with love and the labor of the women your call yours.
