Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace...Ephesians 4: 3

A vision of light
Appeared to me
In a dream last night
So awesome to see,
Tho' I knew she was dead
Since October of 2011...
To be with God in Heaven.
Just three words Mom said
By the foot of the bed
For me to receive...
And my ears to hear
Before New Year's Eve
Poetry by me AJP

I shot this portrait of my late mother in 1995 when she was 86 years old...but just now converted it into black and white.. I did indeed have a dream last night about her and she left me with the words "I am here." Then she disappeared as quickly as she appeared..I interpreted it to mean that even though she is dead, she will always be with me in spirit as she had been in life..

May you and your families have a blessed and Happy New Year!

Wonderful lighting and a grand tribute to your dear mother, Andrea. My mother has been gone about 18 months now, and I do feel her spirit near me on many occasions. It is so hard to lose a parent. God Bless, and I wish you, Dorsey, and Tippi a Very Happy New Year!!

What a beautiful photo of your mother. I have experienced my mom coming to me in various forms to let me know that she is also with me, it is so comforting to get those visits, brief as they are. Your poem is so fitting.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I have had this picture behind glass in a frame for several years and before I posted it, on this page...I turned the flash off and photographed it through the glass with just the light of the touch lamp that I inherited from my mother after she
passed away...Some of the glass pendants that were hanging down from the lamp reflected
in the upper parts of her hair and it almost looked like she was wearing a crown..It doesn't
show up as much in the black and white version.
