While ye have light believe in the light that ye may be the children of light. St. John 12: 36

Tho' life has its shadows
With its highs and lows
Believe in the light
Ere' all is over and done
For It is God and His son...
We'll see in our sight
After all is o'er and done...
Poetry by AJP

I couldn't end my essay without showing the simple flood light itself that worked with me Although I may have broken the rules here by placing it where it would reflect in the mirror, I decided to keep it anyway for the essay as an example of what I used for portrait lighting throughout this whole series and It was not fancy equipment. You can see the extension cord traveling along the front of the dressing table that the flood light is attached to ..There is only one outlet in the upstairs bedroom and not a lot of space but I worked with what I had.

Another reason why I kept this self portrait is that it is the only one that I did that showed shadow and light on my face where one side is shaded and the other side is in the light.

You did an excellent job on this photo, I have a flood light like that but it hangs rather than being on a stand. We use them in the attic when we go up there to light up all those creepy looking dark places - LOL : )

Glad you did include this one. It show the rough, behind-the-scenes work that nobody else gets to see.
