A Balkan Green Lizard is nicely camouflaged on the local vegetation of Corfu Island, Greece

Being a person who gets major willies around snakes, I choose to be closer to other reptiles! Spiders don't freak me out either.

    The lizard is beautiful, love how it is mostly green and has the lower jaw in blue. This is great for the theme!

    The Green lizard I am sure would rather be a lizard than a snake also...and he looks quite proud of himself. The Pine snake that I shot a picture of in 2008 is the only snake I have ever photographed and I was scared believe me...the beauty of its colors convinced me I had to shoot a picture of it and I am glad I did.

    Wow, that's a gorgeous capture, Don! I'm surprised you even saw him since he really is so well camouflaged. I am just like you. I hate snakes and don't intentionally go around them. At least in Maine the few snakes I've seen are non-poisonous. We have no poisonous snakes in Maine. Very well done my friend!!!
