I've been calling these chokecherries, but the picture in my book shows those as being red, so maybe they are black cherries. Nonetheless, they are pea-sized and rather bitter tasting, but make up into a tasty jelly that retains some of the bitter flavor.

    You're welcome to try, Donald! The jelly has a bit of a bite to it, but whether the wine would be good is up to your taste, I guess! I'm not into wine making so haven't tried it. Thanks for your comment, and yours, Davide!
