Remarkable. Beautiful shots. One of the first stories for publication was printed in Florida Wildlife and I called it the Beetle Log. The limb broke off a live oak and I watched it for a year or more and photographed its progress. The beetles arrived, laid their eggs, the larvae were tended and "spoken to", and eventually turned into more patent leather beetles. (I love the snails.)
