He gave him a sign...and his heart was lifted up. II Chronicles 33: 24: 25

I was surprised last August to see this painted red heart when we were traveling down the road that had never seen before on this rock formation wall high above the bluffs, overlooking the highway... upon closer observation I noticed the date 8-10-14, in memory of someone by the name of Nick with the words RIP and Love barely visible in the weeds...I don't know the details, but was impressed by whoever took the time to paint this memory of their loved one on the edge of a big bluff rock formation wall that reached out to whoever looked above to see the heart lifted up.

This could not have been easy. Surely, he had the landowner's permission. A fascinating capture. You took it last August. Did it hold up against the winter elements?

Richard, That section of the bluffs I think is part of a highway right away...and didn't belong to a landowner.....I rather doubt it held up against the winter elements as I don't remember seeing
it this winter..I shot it at the right time after it had just been painted. Thanks for the comments.

The painting of such memorials or placing of wreaths is commonplace in our area, especially where someone has died as a result of an accident at that spot. I ought to make a collection of the ones I drive by all the time.
